The cars have been designed from the outset to have a power to weight ratio that provides it with class leading performance. The Climax is powered by a powered by a Ford Racing 4.6 litre V8 engine. The Ford Racing engine is ideally suited to the Climax Sports Racer due to its compact dimensions and light weight; it has a reputation as a very reliable engine that has been proved in motor sport around the world. The engine, in standard form, produces 345bhp. The car will be offered with different levels of power output as the engine can be easily tuned/upgraded up to 450bhp without compromising reliability; the increased power is achieved by the addition of a supercharger. |
